内容記述 | Foundational to the thinking developed in this article is the following question : what theoretical and practical coherence does the didactic model of the Silent Way offer for the teaching and learning of a foreign language which involves, among other parameters,\ adult learners at the beginner level whose mother tongue and culture is not closely related to the target language? The position taken is that the notion of "coherence" should prevail in all didactic models. Indeed, this notion provides for the establishment of consistency between, on the one hand, a given theoretical design for the teaching and learning of foreign languages and, on the other, the methodological practice(resulting from this design)that takes place in the classroom. |
