We analyzed the consultation contents of pupils and students (n=116) who participated in conference for supporting independent science inquiry in summer vacation. The consultation contents could be classified as follows; 1. Although the subject is clear and the study method has been planned, the participant needs the advice about the improvement of method (9.5%). 2. Although the subject is concrete, the participant couldn't think of the study method (50.0%). 3. Although the vague theme is set, the participant couldn't think of the subject and the study method (31.0%). 4. The participant couldn't set a study theme (9.5%).
