Many parents whose children have some disabilities are expecteded that their children can get profeccinal supports at rehabilition centers of children with disabilites. Unfortunetlly, these type of expectetions do not materialze for the most part because of lack of the professional facilities and professinals. In these circumstances, the role of reagional support centers for child rearing are very helphful for parents whose children have some disabilities. The purpose of this paper is to clearfy the present state of activities and problems of reagional support centers for child rearing in Kumamoto Prefecture, especially supports for children with disabilities and their familly. We distributed questionnaires to 85 reagional support centers for child rearing and the rate of the collection of questionnaires was 72.9%.
