For example, the development of the technique of producing human animal chimera shows the former unclearness, and the progress of artificial intelligent (AI) shows the latter. In such a situation, to reconsider the nature or ideal of humans seems to be inevitable. Focusing on the relationship between humans and AIs, this essay deals with two approaches. One is the approach based on Western philosophy, where AI can be regarded as "person", and the other is derived from an ancient Japanese thought, in which AI belongs to "quasi-life".
