| 内容記述 | Tumbuka is a Bantu language spoken in the northern part of Malawi and the adjacent area of Zambia, Africa. The atithor's research on this language was conducted in Zambia in 1986. This language has totally lost its original tonal contrast with the result that the penultimate syllable of each word is high, the rest being low. Its verb consists of around ten indicative forms such as Prehodiernal Past, Hodiernal Past, Present, Hodiernal Future, Posthodiernal Future and so on, as well as the infinitive, the imperatives, the subjunctives, etc. The aim of this paper is to morphologically describe those forms, giving several examples for each. | |||||
