| 内容記述 | The purpose of this is to review the Japanese government's industrial policy and political efforts for the building of new industrial cities during the high economic growth period of Post-World War II in japan, as well as to look at how the large scale regional development was implemented. This paper begins by outlining the construction plans for the building of these new industrial cities, as well as their subsequent progress, and then goes on to describe the effects they have had on each of the cities, focusing mainly on location of enterprises and demographic trends. Case studies on Shiranui, Ariake and Omuta are used to illustrate issues surrounding the development of designated new industrial cities. | |||||
