 note = {Based on the species data of herbaceous plants which were detected in the Kurokami-campus of Kumamoto University, we made a web page for searching herbaceous plant on plains of Kumamoto City because of the similarity of the plant species between the Kurokami-campus and the plains. This web page included 155 species which were seen generally on the plains. Those species are searched by the color of the flower, the flower season, the family name of the species and the species name. In the case of the existence of similar species, comments for differentiation of the similar species are included in the explanation-text of the species and the page is linked to that of the similar species. Technical terms of plants were explained with figures and photographs of the parts of plants. This web page for searching herbaceous plants on the plains of Kumamoto City is expected to be useful in science education and comprehensive learning activities.},
