Double translation is in fact a very concrete way to observe how singular assets in a particular culture can be transformed by an other culture and its tacit patterns so that they can be considered as acceptable. In this approach, a text that would present the culture of the learner from a foreign point of view is a good way to understand how the representations caused by stereotypes function and how false or incomplete they can be. So that the learner doesn't get disappointed or annoyed, this text has to be pleasant and that's why we prefer to give the learner a text from literature for children.
