| 内容記述 | Conophylline is a bis-indole alkaloid isolated from the leaves of tropical plant Ervatamia microphylla and Tabernaemontana divaricata in 1993. Conophylline comprises two indole units segmented via a central dihydrofuran. Umezawa et al. found that it shows anti-diabetic activity with morphological change by the screening of compounds that induce insulin expression in pancreatic acinar carcinoma AR42J cells. They also disclosed that the central dihydrofuran seemed crucial for this activity. Therefore we aimed the total synthesis of conophylline and the establishment of the synthetic route that enables the synthesis of several relative derivatives with dihydrofuran. |
