It also passes through not the exception but process of the superscription, the structural design carries out it. Design workmanship is improved for much experience in the designer. The long time is needed in order to realize it. Therefore, equivalent patience and culture of the mind are required in order to reach the area of the skill. In this study, it was developed of design support system with the mechanism which promotes the improvement in the design workmanship of the designer and new concept. Simultaneously, the new mechanism offers multiple solutions to the designer, and it supports the decision making of the designer. The opportunity, which finds the better design solution for the designer, is obtained, if the design system can offer them to the designer, and it can greatly contribute to the improvement in the design workmanship for the design beginner. Authors developed the computer-aided system for structural design of steel frame by the mounting of this concept. This design support system, which facilitated that the proper solution from the cluster of multiple design information is decided, showed useful for the design skill improvement of the designer.
