そこで、本研究では粉砕し溶かして再生するリサイクル過程に着目し、”カレット\"生成コストの削減と洗浄作業の簡素化を同時に解決する水中衝撃波を用いた破砕手法の検討を行う。そして効率的なガラス製容器のリサイクル手法へ応用を目指す。\n この手法は従来の大規模な粉砕機に比べて、1)設備コストが低いこと、2)水中(あるいは洗浄液中)で行うため粉塵が外部に飛散せず、かつ破砕物を完全に回収できる、3)破砕前の洗浄が不要で、破砕後完全に洗浄可能である(薬品容器に対しても適用可能)、4)破砕・洗浄が連続的に行える、などの利点を有する。\n そのため本手法の実用化には、ガラス容器の衝撃破壊挙動の定量的解明が必要である。\n
