But they are only a part of the Paston corpus; we have another 121 papers belonging to it, which appeared in 2005, edited by Richard Beadle and Colin Richmond. The present study was conducted, based on those 121 papers which had not been included in Matsuse (2009a), and aimed to complement it with some additional data. The findings from all the Paston letters and documents in the 15th and 16th centuries are: the people appearing in those papers used (1) auxiliary dare (not only in non-affirmative contexts, but in affirmative contexts as well), (2) lexical need (in spite of the fact that auxiliary need had already been in use at that time), and (3) auxiliary ought which co-occurs with both the bare infinitive and the fo-infinitive.}, pages = {99--110}, title = {語彙的か補助的か : 「パストン家書簡集」におけるDare,Need,Ought (2)}, volume = {58}, year = {2009}, yomi = {マツセ, ケンジ and マツセ, ケンジ} }
