On the other hand, moral universalism has been criticized as a mere illusion by communitarians, e.g.A.MacIntyre(1929-). In this paper, I will argue first that it is not to the point that the principle of universalizability disregards the particularity of situations, and then that there is a genuine difficulty in drawing a line between the morally important features of them and those which are unworthy of attention.
