(1) The Oral-Communication subjects tend to be given at rather earlier stages, that is, to the first or the second year students. (2) They are not always given to high school students, in spite of the direction of the Curricular Guidelines. Instead, some high schools replace them with grammar or writing classes for entrance examination. (3) The results from my mid-term examination of English Category A reveal that no special improvement of the listening skill in English is confirmed, and that on the whole the students lack the basic grasping of the English sounds.},
