| 内容記述 | In this paper, I investigated the conditions in woodworking learning at junior high school and clarified some problems contained in them. The results obtained are summarized as follows: (1) most junior high schools proved to be teaching woodworking, naturally when considering the nature of technical education; (2) the time allotted to woodworking, however, is not enough and the students cannot take it in the true meaning of technical education; (3) in woodworking, the students learn the properties of timber produced in Japan, but they use south sea timber, such as lauan, agathis, etc., in their actual construction and it can safely be said that they cannot acquire the true knowledge about the materials they used; (4) in many junior high schools, the students often use south sea timber, though I think that they ought to use local timber, for the very use of local timber is one of the characteristics of woodworking learning. | |||||||||||
