In the worst case, the intimidated child was forced to commit suicide (7 cases last year in all). So we planned the social phychological study in order to find out the background of such a bullying in school.Firstly we administered the questionnaire to boy- and girl-students, which contained the question-items concerning the experience of and their feeling toward, bullying or being bullied in school. We could find many various cases reported in the questionnaires.Secondly, we checked all the reports intimidating in school which were found in the various newspapers in Japan, especially during 1984-1985. And we could categorize these behavior-patterns into four different types of group structure.
