内容記述 | The theory and practice of curriculum evaluation has moved through several stages. It began with an emphasis on grading, marking, and judging and proceeded to develop a specialized connection with systematic measurement. Later on, evaluation began to focus on the improvement of programs rather than the assessment of students alone. More recently, a number of evaluators have sought to discover large-scale perspectives and trends that is known as the IEA Study, while a good deal of evaluation at the level of government and local schools has been spurred along by accountability, reporting the congruence between agreed-upon goals and their realization. There is also an emphasis on qualitative evaluation that paint curriculum within a complex situation. To portray the reality of situations and to reveal their merit and worth by using the human being as the primary instrument of evaluation, naturalistic approach is exemplified in education, by drawing its methodologies from anthropology, ethology, and ethnography. This paper begins by tracing each of these more fully, and contemporary orientation to curriculum evaluation are described in the former part. One of the practice of curriculum evaluation at the local school level, which focuses mainly on the goal-based qualitative evaluation in the elementary school science, is highlighted in the latter part. | |||||
