Following the report on the performance of those accepted to Kumamoto University in 1996, this article surveys and compares the results of that study with the TOEFL ITP given in April 1997. The average scores of this group of students (Group A) were compared with those of the other group of students who were not given the listening test (Group B). In spite of the fact that the average of the total scores of Group A and Group B decreased by 9.5 and 2.5points respectively. The average score of the listening test increased by 0.9 and 1.5 points. This suggests that high schools have already started preparing their, students in spoken English, a desirable tendency which this project aims to confirm.}, pages = {57--61}, title = {英語聞き取り試験導入と熊本大学入学者の英語能力(1)}, volume = {15}, year = {1998}, yomi = {ラスカウスキー, テリー and マツセ, ケンジ} }
