| 内容記述 | It is generally accepted that we are facing the radical change in the realm of higher education in Japan. The Japanese National Universities are under pressure to change into institutions that are more excellent and international than before. Especially, the faculties of education in Japanese National Universities are demanded by the government that they should merge each other in order to function better as excellent institutions. Under this situation, we try to study the merger performance of the universities in advanced nations with a view to blueprinting the Neo-Faculty of Education at Kumamoto University after merger. The theme of this article is to introduce and analyze the merger document of the University of Glasgow. This document was offered to Yasuo Ohsako by Professor Bart McGettrick, Dean of Education Faculty at Glasgow, to whom we would like to dedicate this article and a lot of thanks. | |||||
