| 内容記述 | Technical skills in interacting/communicating with children and conceptual understanding of children's behavior and characteristics were considered as one of the basic competences required in professional teaching. In this study, in order to assess such technical and conceptual skills fostered through the "Friendship Program", that is, practice-based experiential learning 'in pre-service teacher training curriculum, the three dimensional (3-D) rubric was developed. The first criteria was "learning stages", which were required to plan, do, see and improve activities to play with children, based on the conceptual understanding of children, through first-hands experience. The learning stages consisted of four stages as standards. The second criteria was "developmental levels in observing children", consisting of five levels. The third criteria was "levels of knowledge and understanding about children", consisting of four levels. The 3-D rubric was applied into the qualitative analysis of free-descriptive-type reports, submitted by college students participated in the Program. The results indicated firstly that the 3-D rubric itself could be applicable to assess the experiential learning and secondly that a certain effect of experiential learning would be given on students in constructing conceptual knowledge of children with his/her own meaning depending on a personal context. | |||||||||||
