In this study, we focus on the process of "seeing"and "thinking" in the act of art appreciation. Because the phase of "knowing" in the act of art appreciation is not very much important to the children in the primary school. To give such children too much knowledge about an artwork might prevent them from stimulating and enhancing their imagination. In this practice, we selected two works painted by Henri Matisse; "La Desserte" and "La Desserte Rouge". These two works show the same theme and the same setting. But their styles are very different, because they are exsecuted in the different stages of artistic development of Matisse. "La Desserte" with realistic and impressionistic trait differs very much in style from "La Desserte Rouge” which shows a decisive step to abstract art. The objective of the lesson practiced for this study is to make the children "think" about the reason why Matisse changed his style, after they have compared these two works in the process of "seeing".}, pages = {19--26}, title = {鑑賞学実践研究9 : マティス作《食卓》と《赤い食卓》}, volume = {22}, year = {2005}, yomi = {ノガミ, マサシ and ノガミ, マサシ} }
