| 内容記述 | To investigate the students-teachers' views on the quality and capability required as professional teacher, a survey study was undertaken by using the questionnaire consisted of 90 items. Total of 279 undergraduate senior students who had completed whole student-teaching program were involved in this investigation. Results can be summarized as follows; (1) Quality and capability that students-teachers consider important as teacher were categorized into three components, that is, 1) interrelationship with individual children, 2) willingness as teacher and 3) problem solving. "Sense of a member of society" was considered less important. (2) Knowledge and capability that students-teachers want to acquire now and/or in the future as teacher were categorized into three components, that is, 1) understanding of children's characteristics, classroom management and guidance, 2) profession as teacher and 3) teaching and learning process. "Skills required for interacting and communicating with people" were most desired. | |||||

| 内容記述 | (3) Knowledge, capability and experience that students-teachers consider need to be acquired through pre-service teacher training curriculum were, "experience in interacting with children", "skills required for interacting and communicating with people", "sense of a member of society" and "academic knowledge and skills related to subject teaching". Among them, "experience in interacting with children" was considered most important. Issues were raised that firstly, skills required for interacting and communicating with people and sense of a member of society, which were closely linked together with one's own personality, should be developed in pre-service teacher training. Secondly, understanding of children's characteristics, and knowledge and capability required for classroom management and guidance, should also be developed by means of enrichment of experience in interacting with children. | |||||
