| 内容記述 | There are now problematic changes in children's eating patterns, for example, irregular meal patterns and inadequate food intake. We investigated the actual conditions and the students' knowledge of the net weight of foods, food intake for health control. meal management, and cooking. The subjects were 34 elementary school children. The data were collected using questionnaires. We examined the children' s ability to judge the net weight of eight foods (egg, miso, milk, tomato, garden lettuce, potato, rice, mayonnaise) by eye-measuring (mebakari) and hand-measuring (tebakari). The children tended to underestimate the net weight of the foods. The items that caused difficulty at shopping were the weight and price of a pack of food, the right amount of food for cooking, and the judgment of freshness. In this way, we acquired information on the children' s ability to measure and judge at shopping and cooking. | |||||
