| 内容記述 | This study reports a part of development studies on logical thinking ability (argumentation ability) of pupils with a viewpoint of language education in order to obtain a clue to develop logical subject curriculum. The targets of surveys on logical thinking ability, which supports argumentation ability, were Elementary School and Junior High School Attached to Faculty of Education, Kumamoto University and S Municipal Elementary School in Kumamoto City. The findings were as follows. On the differences between 2nd and 4th grade pupils, (1) the ability to find facts objectively is largely enhanced during the 2 years. After the middle grades, pupils can make an inference by categorizing and generalizing facts. In the middle grades, key findings were; (1) thinking based on causal association becomes stronger, (2) reasoning is made with plural facts, (3) ability to create meaning to facts leads to various reasoning, and (4) they start to state reasoning with their existent knowledge and life experience. In the 6th grade, they enrich their ability to attach more meaning to facts and find various styles of argumentation. | |||||||||||
