内容記述 There have been many studies on each element of writing self-efficacy, metacognition, writing strategies, and feedback. However, there are only a few studies on the relationships between these elements, especially at Japanese senior high schools. Now the author is conducting a study about the relationships between self-efficacy, metacognition, writing strategies, and feedback. In this article, the research aim in progress is introduced, then the literature of self-efficacy, metacognition, and feedback is reviewed, and finally the research methods are discussed. The mixed methods research is to be conducted to combine the quantitative research: the questionnaires of writing strategies and self-efficacy, and the qualitative research: writing journals with teachers' feedback and students' interview. Students can improve their writing strategies by using writing journals, based on teachers' advice as scaffolding. In the process of teacher feedback, students' metacognition is to be activated, and the students are to be involved in self-regulated learning. As a result, their self-efficacy is expected to be enhanced.
