| 内容記述 | This study examined three models for Chang's (2007) Learner Autonomy Questionnaire (CLAQ). The rationale for this study is the underlying necessity of raising the standard of learner autonomy measurement. This is important in language education for use in classroom diagnostics or applied research. CLAQ was developed for measuring learner autonomy in ELT and later Nakata (2011) adapted it for his study involving teacher autonomy in Japan. Authors have thus far not explicitly specified the measurement model, but models are nonetheless implicitly hypothesized by the scoring regime for the instrument and the manner in which it has been used. Therefore, this study examined three presumed models (labeled Model 1A, Model IB and Model 2) under a direct test using CFA as the analytical method. Model 1A is a single scale for autonomy beliefs with 10 items and Model IB is a single scale for autonomy behaviors with 10 items. Model 2 is a correlated model incorporating the two scales (autonomy beliefs and autonomy behaviors) with 10 items on each scale (20 items in total). The results from the CFA indicated that all three models should be rejected. | |||||
