This paper focuses on the ambiguity of the object "N2" of gei in the construction type "N1+gei+N2+V+N3". "N2" is interpreted as the recipient of "N3(DO)" if the latter's transfer is implied, otherwise as the recipient of the effect of the event denoted by "V+N3", which on the whole may be regarded as the object of 'giving' denoted by gei. The syntactic distribution of the grammatical elements preceding and following the verb in both constructions is shown to indicate that the sequence of "gei+N+V" can be analysed as a verb complex in line with the "ba+N+V" construction with the preposed object.}, pages = {241--252}, title = {給の文法的性格 : 「N1+gei+N2+V+N3」構文を中心に}, volume = {12}, year = {2014} }
