Therefore, the importance of the food education in the school education is increasing, but the effect has many points of the doubt, too. To elucidate this point, questionnaire survey for students of Kumamoto University was carried out to inspect the awareness and the effect of food education. University students received food education up to university entrance, and their living environments probably have changed greatly such as the start of living alone after university entrance. As a result, it was elucidated that awareness of food education itself is low, especially in a male students. In addition, even if they recognize and understand the purpose of food education, it was not made use for the real eating habits very much, both in male and female students.
