| 内容記述 | The present paper aims at reconsidering the history of human knowledge, contrasting scientific epistemology with mythological epistemology. It goes without saying that ancient Greek philosophers and scientists played a crucial role in exploring the human knowledge. Aristotle, for example, raised the inferential procedure of deduction which was of sovereign both in Christianity and in the medieval philosophy. He also proposed in his work of Poetics the rule of dramaturgy in dramatization. Through the ancient and medieval history of human knowledge, the mythological epistemology had backed the Ptolemaic or geocentric theory in astronomy and geology. Contrastively, in the period of Renaissance, Copernicus and Galilei proposed the Copernican or heliocentric theory. Also Descartes' "Cogito Ergo Sum" promoted to disjoin a human existence into the two extremes of body and mind. Here starts the age of the mental ecdysis from the medieval age of mysticism to the modern age of rationality. Thus the replacement of mysticism by rationalism took place in many areas of science. We termed this process the replacement of mythological epistemology by scientific epistemology. This was a drastic change of inferential reasoning, which often took place in the history of human knowledge. In this paper we described a number of historical turning points of knowledge in a number of academic areas such as mathematics, electronics, physics, psychology and linguistics. Thus this paper refers to the cancellation of Phlogiston theory by A.L. Lavoisier, the negation of the existence of ether by relativity theory, and the comprehension of Newtonian physics by Einstein's relativity theory, quantum theory, and so forth. | |||||||||||||||||
