Morpheme A and morpheme B can be compounded in more than one way, such as flip-flop disyllable words like AB-BA. This essay studies two typical works Xingshi Yinyuan Zhuan and ErnuYingxiong Zhuan for the reasons that in the aspect of language research value, Xingshi Yinyuan Zhuan is the most typical vernacular novel in the north in the early Qing Dynasty and ErnuYingxiong Zhuan’s narrative language and spoken language are Beijing dialect, the most typical dialect of northern dialects in the late Qing Dynasty. They play an important role in studying the difference between contemporary Chinese and Beijing dialect in the Qing Dynasty and studying the historical development of language, especially northern mandarin Chinese.
