Two children(age:8 and 10) with Down syndrome who speech were unclear was participated in this study. We used a combination of two therapies ; articulatory movement therapy and phonological therapy. Articulatoy movement therapy included two types of training methods : 1) Exercise of the mouth, 2) successive approximation of target phonemes. Phonological therapy included two types of training methods : 3) Training of listening of the correct sounds, 4) Training to divide one by one syllable. The effect of the therapies was checked by comparing the participant’s score of Japanese Articulation Test Revised (JATR) before and after therapies and we interviewed parents of participants about the state of the participant's communication. As a result, the score of JATR improved more than 20% overall. It can be said that their speech intelligibility was improves in a word and syllables level. In the interview to parents, there were good changes in improvement of the attitude of the conversation and the turn of its.
