stimulus）が、近接して提示されるいくつかの便乗刺激ES（entraining stimulus）の作り出す仮現運動に誘導されて運動して見える現象を便乗運動という。本研究では、2つのフレームから成る刺激ディスプレイを交互に提示することによって便乗運動を生起させ、14名の実験参加者に便乗運動の良さを評価させた。実験1ではFigure1のように、同じ円形のTSとES 及び、長方形の遮蔽刺激OCL（occluder）を第1フレームで提示し、第2フレームでは、OCLは固定したまま、TSを削除し、縦方向に圧縮した楕円形のES を右水平方向に同じ距離だけ移動した位置に配置した。実験2ではFigure3 のように、2つのフレーム間でES の面積を等しくしたまま、形を変化させた。実験3ではFigure5のように、夾角の異なる2 つの不等号記号に似た図形を用意した。第1 フレームでは夾角120°の図形をTS 及びES として提示し、第2 フレームでは夾角70°の図形をESとして提示した。OCLを実験条件として、NO（no occluder）、OBL（oblong）、PTR（portrait）及び、SQR（square）あるいはRCT（rectangle）の4条件を用意した。実験結果より、便乗運動はES
