| 内容記述 | As the recognition of sexual diversity becomes more openly discussed in society, discrimination and prejudice against homosexuality in men and women are increasingly getting attention. However, discrimination and prejudice against homosexuality are still strong and negative feelings against homosexuality which is called homophobia are social issues which cause several trouble. This study examined the effects of classes on sexual diversity on homophobia among university students. Researcher set the two course units on sexual diversity in a compulsory course “Educational Counseling” and measured students’ homophobia at three points of time (before the unit, after first class, and after second class). Researcher divided students into two groups; intervention group (n=154) and control group (n=100), and compared their homophobia scores. The result of two-way analysis of variance showed that homophobia score of intervention group was significantly decreased over the course of the class while there was no difference before class between two groups. Acquisition of information and efforts for proactive involvement contribute decrease of students’ homophobia. | |||||
