A distance lesson was, therefore, conducted for a nonattending junior high school student, wherein a smartphone connected to the video conference system(Zoom)was installed to monitor the student’s learning process. After 17 50-minute distance lessons of mathematics, a regular exam at school was conducted to evaluate the result of the student’s learning. It was found that the student displayed fulfilment in learning, reduced anxiety, and a gradual increase in positive feelings. Further, a questionnaire conducted after the 18th(final)distance lesson revealed that the student was eager to participate in classroom lessons and communicate with friends face-to-face.
