The Odia version applies if a clause contains two objective-case-marked NPs and also lacks an agentive subject, to prevent the lower one from being 1st or 2nd person (Yamabe 2014, 2018a, 2018b, 2020 ). This article reports cross-speaker variation concerning the Odia PCC. The application range of the constraint varies between two group of speakers. For some speakers ( “Dialect A”), the PCC applies if (i) the pair of objective-case-marked NPs logically stand in the subject and object relation, or (ii) they are the recipient and theme of a ditransitive verb. For other speakers ( “Dialect B”), the PCC applies in circumstance (i) but not in circumstance (ii). I attribute the cross-speaker variation to the absence (in Dialect A) or presence (in Dialect B) of the covert diathetic alternation of Dative Shift, which swaps the relative structural height of the two NPs in ditransitive clauses.","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_15_publisher_36":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"熊本大学大学院人文社会科学研究部(文学系)"}]},"item_15_source_id_7":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"24350052","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_15_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA12888532","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_15_subject_20":{"attribute_name":"日本十進分類法","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"801.5","subitem_subject_scheme":"NDC"}]},"item_15_version_type_19":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"山部, 順治"},{"creatorName":"ヤマベ, ジュンジ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"169255","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","displaytype":"detail","filename":"JBR0003_007-029.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.8 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"url":"https://kumadai.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/34313/files/JBR0003_007-029.pdf"},"version_id":"a2d6a4f2-82bd-4058-91e9-63a505b7e057"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"South Asian language","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"syntax","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"morphology","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"personal pronouns","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"agent","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"subject","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"restructuring","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"ditransitive","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"verbs","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Dative Shift","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"The Person-Case Constraint in Two Dialects of Odia","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"The Person-Case Constraint in Two Dialects of Odia","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"15","owner":"12","path":["647","1502"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2022-04-14"},"publish_date":"2022-04-14","publish_status":"0","recid":"34313","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["The Person-Case Constraint in Two Dialects of Odia"],"weko_creator_id":"12","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-06-19T13:21:47.706669+00:00"}
