 note = {This paper aims to critically analyze the literature and interviews on people living with Minamata disease  (MD) in Goshoura Island. Located opposite to the shore of Minamata, the case of Goshoura Island has not been included in most of the literature on MD. However, as the case could be vital in reconsidering questions of the ways in which people express their experience of MD, this paper seeks to clarify both what has been elucidated and what has left out. The existing literature suggests that the case of Goshoura Island cannot be of MD in a complicated way. Based on this finding, field research should be conducted considering how the experience of the people of Goshoura Islands has manifested in different forms of expression.},
