| 内容記述 | An exploratory study of the development of a "Sogo Enshu" class was planned and implemented for the purpose of (1) providing university students in teacher training courses opportunities to learn in a shared environment with the mentally challenged and, (2) providing opportunities for high school students of a school for the mentally handicapped (SMH) to experience a class held at a university so as to expand their future learning options. Class participation involved twenty-one university students and nine high school students of the SMH. The topic of the class was the culture and education of the handicapped in India and Sri Lanka. It was observed that high school students of the SMH took part in the class with a more positive attitude compared with university students, and also openly expressed their ideas with regard to their handicap, which may change the image of university students towards the learning needs of the mentally challenged. |
