| 内容記述 | This report presents the case of a severely and profoundly multiply handicapped child who cannot see or touch things voluntarily in the environment. It appears difficult for me to understand his behavior because he is very poor in responding to the outside world. The medical diagnosis is that he has motor dysfunctions, severe mental retardation, and eplepsy. Muscular tonus in four limbs is hypotonic. In the training, tactile stimuli within the range he can easily discriminate were presented repeatedly. This trainings is designed to form association between tactile stimuli and motor behavior within his behavioral repertory. As a result of the training, some basic behavior patterns such as visual pursuit, prehension, vocalizing, smiling, and rolling over was formed. It is important for education of severely and profoundly multiply handicapped children to consider relationship between tactile stimuli and motor behavior. | |||||||||||
