| 内容記述 | This paper reports the results of a survey (carried out in December, 1997) among school nurse-teachers in Kumamoto prefecture on their attitudes towards and needs for postgraduate courses of school health education. Out of the total numbers of teachers (n=629, all female), 43% (n=273) responded as being wishing to have an opportunity of learning in the postgraduate course. The rates of wishing were higher in the younger generation with shorter periods of the professional, 30~34 year old teachers showing the highest (58%). On the other hand, there was no significant difference in the rates of wishing among the teachers, despite of the difference in the kinds of their working schools or of their certificates for school nurse-teachers. Those teachers who graduated from Yougokyouyu Tokubetubekka (Special Course in School Health), and are not presently qualified to enter as a student into the postgraduate course, showed a high rate of wishing (53%) as much as that (51%) of teachers graduated from Yougokyouyu Youseikatei (Department of School Health). The main reasons for wishing to learn in the postgraduate course were as follows: (1) to increase their basic knowledges about school health education, especially in the field of school counseling; (2) to keep abreast of the progress of professional field; (3) to have an opportunity to do a research on the subject which the individual teachers perceived as important through their professional activities in schools. | |||||
