| 内容記述 | We examine the shift in the focus with regard to problems during telephone-advising sessions, where in a grandmother (client) seeks advice with regard to her grandchild's problems, The examination is conducted on the basic of the discourse analysis of the interaction with the client. We also attempt to demonstrate the process through which the client transfigures her identity in the current interaction. Along with the shift in focus, the client was briefly alienated from the network of participants cultivated by the advisor. The client, however, started to take advantage of her alienation. She began to adopt different identities, that is, she pretended to be "another grandmother" or a "concerned party" and began to participate in the sessions as a third party as well. In conclusion, despite her alienation from the network of participants, by transfiguring her identity, the client maintained her position as a "concerned party" in the advising sessions. | |||||
