| 内容記述 | According to the recent housing survey, although Japan is in the population decrease era, the number of households is increasing because of the trend toward the nuclear family or an increase in one-person households. Particularly, one-person households recently account for as much as thirty percent of the total households. While family sociological researchers reveal such a transformation of households, housing designers point out that the existing housing design does not sufficiently respond to the diversified relations between occupants and houses. It is widely discussed recently how to incorporate individualization into housing design. To respond to the above diversified relations, the authors try to come up with guidelines for housing design intended for one-person households by studying how they use rooms. |
