| 内容記述 | In this paper, the history of the Japanese Automobile Recycling Lawand the idea of "extended producer responsibility" for cars are reviewed.Then a comparison of the automotive used parts business in Japan and theUnited States is reviewed. Differences between Japan and the UnitedStates are found in several areas. Foreign made ultra-low-priced partsmake up a certain part of the market in the United States, while they take asmaller role in the Japanese market. Although the use of recycled parts isvery high in the United States, use of such parts is gradually increasing inJapan, as well. However, recycled components are a major element inrebuilt parts in the United States, while reused parts are ,for the most part,merely traded in Japan. | |||||
