| 内容記述 | The "earthquake" of the book-title means "great Hanshin earthquake" which occurred on Tuesday, January 17, 1995. There are 6 stories in this novel. These 6 stories all happened on February, 1995. However, not happened in Kobe but far away from there. And, There was a big incident that called "Subway Sarin Incident" happened in Tokyo on March, 1995, which was perpetrated by members of Aum Shinrikyo. That means these 6 stories happened between the "Great Hanshin earthquake" and "Subway Sarin Incident". Haruki Murakami connects these two matters by this novel. That means, there are two key-words of this novel. It's "violence" and "underground". |
