| 内容記述 | Basically, elementary school teachers in Japan have to teach all of the curriculums, including a subject “physical education”. It is expected that some teachers would be feeling the difficulties on teaching physical education class because of the lack or poor of their experiments of teaching physical education class or performing sport itself. This study aims to clarify the difficulties of elementary school teachers in Kumamoto city on teaching physical education class. A total of 144 teachers cooperate this study. The gymnastics and swimming are the top two subjects that many teachers are feeling the difficulties on teaching, and those are hoping additional teaching supporter, advices on teaching methods, and to have sufficient tools. They also feeling the lack of time of preparing/tidying up and of school hours of class. Most teachers are studying the teaching methods of physical education by the advice from professional or experienced teachers, internet, and technical books, but not sufficient in fact. To resolve difficulties of teaching physical education, the elementary school teachers in Kumamoto city are hoping the support or introduction of additional teaching staff, a specialized teacher for physical education, and the chance of workshop. | |||||
