Valid responses were received from 513 nursery teachers in the field of childcare. They were analyzed to examine the structure of factors associated with the scale, and two factors were extracted, Factors I “Recognition of direct and indirect supports in childcare”, and Factors II “Recognition of institutional childcare environment”. The results show that CSDSC had adequate reliability and validity. Cronbach’s α value for the scale was .84, and those for the subscales were .81 and .86.
