| 内容記述 | This exegetical study of Leviticus 19,18aβ reexamines four different interpretations of the verse and suggests another option to reintegrate it into the overall context of the pericope(19,9-18). A close analysis of the pericope shows 1) that the relation between two parties(the neighbour and the one encouraged to love him)is potentially conflictual and often asymmetrical: i.e.,the latter is required to yield his advantage to the former,who is in difficulty, 2) that receiving the commandments involves accepting his own history,where he was saved by the Lawgiver's love despite of his unworthiness,and 3) that he is invited to imitate God by his own practice of loving his neighbours. These and other contextual pieces of evidence lead us to conclude that the foundation of the injunction to "love your neighbour" is not the famous self-love,"as you love yourself",but rather is a divine love ,i.e."as you are loved by Me". | |||||||||||
