| 内容記述 | The objective of this study is to identify methods and content of special needs education in high schools and future tasks in the field, through a review of the literature. We analyzed methods and content of special needs education presently conducted in high schools; knowledge and experience on special needs education among teachers in high schools; and needs demonstrated by high school students with disabilities. Results revealed that:(1) Most high schools engaged in similar methods and content of special needs education, while other schools developed their own original methods and content. (2) The high school teachers had obtained knowledge of special needs education through special needs education/training including seminars, but most of them had only limited experience teaching students with disabilities. (3) Some students with disabilities recognized their needs, enabling teachers to teach effectively keeping these students' needs in mind. Research on methods of special needs education for students with disabilities other than developmental disabilities ― and on needs demonstrated by students with disabilities ― should be conducted in the future. | |||||||||||||||||
