| 内容記述 | This paper focuses on an in-service senior high school Japanese teacher of English (JTE) with limited teaching experience and her struggle to teach English through English (TETE) as outlined by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) in the current Course of Study. The steps taken as a more experienced teacher (the author), assuming the role of mentor, guided her through the rigorous process of self-reflection are presented. This case study takes an interpretive and exploratory approach by collecting data through the use of action research (AR) a teacher development framework which is interventionist in principle. It is focused on providing a deeper understanding of the realities of in-service JTEs who are activelu trying to pursue their professional development through such things as on-site teacher development projects, co-generative dialogue, and volunteering to participate in research studies like this one. One of the major goals of this study was to empower the JTE by guiding her through the cyclical process of self-reflection and revision. | |||||

| 内容記述 | この論文は教職歴が短く、文部科学省の指導要領の骨子である英語による英語授業に努力しているある現職の日本人の英語教師に焦点を当てている。自己反省を促す厳正な過程を通して、その教師を指導した助言者の役を担っている一人の教職経験豊かな教師が講じた様々な手段が提示されている。このケーススタディは、アクションリサーチを通してデータを集める探索的かつ解釈的方法をとっている。それは教師の信念、態度、認識を論じており、教育現場の教師発展プログラム、相互の創造的な対話、調査研究への自発的参加によって教師としての資質向上を積極的に追及しようと努力してる現職の日本人教師の現実をより深く理解することに重点を置いている。この研究の主な目標の一つは自己反省という周期的な過程を通し指導することによって該当教師に自信を持たせることである。 | |||||
