Sato\u0027s works had a great impact on Chinese writers studying in Japan around 1920. In addition, Sato\u0027s works have been translated into China by Zhou Zuoren since 1921, and a large number of translations have been produced in the following fourteen years. This paper draws the following conclusions by investigating the translation of Haruo Sato\u0027s works in China before the war. First of all, most of the translators who translate Sato\u0027s works are close to Zhou Zuoren. Sato\u0027s works have disappeared in Chinese newspapers since 1931.
