Since 2002, the Faculty of Education at Kumamoto University has been working with the Kumamoto City Board of Education on the “Your Friend Project” to send undergraduate students to school refusal students. The usefulness of this project has already been shown, but in this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey of participating students for the purpose of confirming its significance. As a result, it was shown that while many students realized the significance of the activities, they were more worried as the grade progressed. In addition, it was shown that this activity has great significance for students as an activity to get close to children before becoming a teacher. However, it was also suggested that teachers and guardians do not understand that the purpose is not to return to school, and there is a reality that they fall into a dilemma.
